Graduating with an electronics engineering degree in 1980, Managing Director Jim Calvert began his career as a BBC Studio Engineer at Television Centre. Utilising specific skills acquired working with broadcasting technology, in 1993 he went on to establish Premier Video Products Ltd.

The company specialised in designing audio-visual products for use in both the corporate and domestic sector. It rapidly gained recognition for creating products that were novel and renowned for performance and reliability. As the company's reputation grew, it was commissioned by a number of third party organisations to engineer designs to complement their own product portfolios.

With the passing of time and technologies, the company's design skills and activity base broadened. In 2014, to reflect this evolution, the trading name was changed to Infinite Electronic Solutions (IES), however the core values and ethos remain unchanged: IES continues to pride itself on delivering creative ideas and novel approaches in all aspects of its work, across a variety of market sectors.

Of particular note, IES has refined various electronic and optical techniques in the application of LED technology in a variety of product types. These high-reliability and energy sensitive solutions have included LED lighting, LED signage, Variable Message Signs, and traffic and pedestrian control products designed to the EN12368 specification.

As well as creating in-house products, IES has developed lasting partnerships with a number of national organizations and companies for over 20 years. IES will work closely with you at all stages in the design process. When you contact IES you will encounter an approachable and helpful company. Our aim is to provide innovative, well engineered, cost effective solutions at all stages of the design and manufacturing process.

Just some of the organisations IES has designed products for include: London Transport, Docklands Light Railway, Argos, Electronics Boutique, Game, Hollco Traffic Signals & Help Point.
